If you’re in perimenopause or menopause, you may be feeling like your body is suddenly a stranger to you.
You’re eating “right,” you’re training the way you always have, you’re taking the supplements you’ve been told to take — and yet you’re more tired than ever. Your clothes fit differently. You’re waking up at night drenched in sweat or staring at the ceiling at 2 a.m. You feel moody, anxious, or down in ways that don’t make sense with what’s happening in your life.
And when you try to bring these concerns to your doctor? You’re told it’s related to your weight, or worse — everything looks fine, so you must be fine. Maybe you’re offered an antidepressant. Maybe you’re told to “try harder” with diet and exercise. Deep down, you know something more is going on, but you can’t seem to get the support or answers you need.
This is exactly why I created the Wild Pursuits Method — a six-month, one-on-one program for women who want clarity about their bodies, confidence in their health, and the ability to thrive in midlife and beyond.
My Background
I’ve been a naturopathic physician for 16 years, and I’m a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP). But before I became a doctor, I was — and still am — an athlete.
I started swimming competitively at age 5, hanging up my swimsuit after 15 years of high-level competition. I promptly transitioned into a life of mountain adventures: trail running, rock, ice, and alpine climbing that pushed me mentally and physically.
Through it all, I was trying to answer questions for myself that no one seemed to be asking for women: How should I eat, train, and recover as a female athlete? Why didn’t the advice that worked for male teammates seem to work for me?
Later, in my clinical work, I watched the same pattern play out for countless women — especially during perimenopause and postmenopause. The conventional system didn’t have answers for them either. It didn’t matter how healthy, active, or committed they were — they were still being brushed off, told to “lose weight,” or handed generic advice that didn’t work.
And that’s when I knew I had to do something different.
The Deeper “Why”
I created the Wild Pursuits Method because I believe women deserve more than a one-size-fits-all approach.
Here’s the truth: menopause is not a disease. But it can bring real, disruptive changes that touch every area of your life. And here’s the other truth — hormones are only one piece of the puzzle.
Your sleep, stress, nutrition, gut health, cellular health, detoxification pathways, nutrient levels, even your genetics — all of these interact with each other, and all of these shift in unique ways for every woman.
That’s why so many of my clients come to me frustrated after trying “everything”: keto, intermittent fasting, low-carb, supplements they found on Instagram, HIIT workouts every morning. They’re putting in the effort, but without knowing how their individual physiology works, they’re essentially throwing darts in the dark.
The Wild Pursuits Method takes away the guesswork. Instead of blaming yourself or thinking you’re broken, you’ll finally see why your body is changing, and what it specifically needs to feel strong, balanced, and resilient again.
My Ah-Ha Moment
My ah-ha moment was realizing just how little conventional medicine had to offer women in midlife — especially active, athletic women.
That’s when it clicked. With my clinical experience, my research, my years of trial and error as an athlete, and now my MSCP certification, I had a unique perspective. I could connect the dots between the science and the lived experience of perimenopausal women — because I was one, too.
I knew I could create something that was both comprehensive and deeply personal, something that empowered women instead of leaving them dismissed and discouraged. And that’s when the Wild Pursuits Method was born.
Before the Wild Pursuits Method
Imagine this:
- You wake up already tired, even though you went to bed early. Your alarm for your morning run goes off, but your legs feel like lead. You push through anyway — but every step feels like you’re digging yourself into a bottomless hole.
- At work, you find yourself snapping at colleagues or struggling to concentrate, even though nothing in your life has changed. Later that night, you collapse into bed exhausted, only to wake up again at 2 a.m. staring at the ceiling.
- You look in the mirror and wonder, What is happening to me? You’ve tried diets, supplements, workouts — everything that “should” work. But your body isn’t responding the way it used to.
And when you finally gather the courage to talk to your doctor? You’re told it’s your weight, or your age, or that’s menopause, or that maybe you should consider an antidepressant. You walk out of the office feeling dismissed, unheard, and more discouraged than before.
After the Wild Pursuits Method
Now imagine a different reality:
- You wake up feeling rested. You know exactly how to fuel yourself before a training session, and you notice your strength and recovery improving again.
- At work, your focus is sharp and your mood is steady. You’re not second-guessing yourself or worrying that something is “wrong.”
- At night, you sleep deeply — no more lying awake with racing thoughts or endless hot flashes.
- Most importantly, you feel in control again. You understand your unique physiology — your hormones, your gut, your nutritional needs, your genetics — and you have a plan that’s tailored to you.
Instead of guessing, you have clarity. Instead of frustration, you feel empowered. Instead of fearing the future, you look forward to it.
What Makes Me Different
There are plenty of practitioners who can run lab tests or give diet advice. What makes this program different is the perspective I bring:
- I’ve spent 16 years in clinical naturopathic practice, helping women move beyond symptom management to whole-body health.
- I’m an MSCP-trained menopause specialist, meaning I have advanced training in exactly what you’re going through.
- I’ve been an athlete my whole life — and I’m living through perimenopause right now. I don’t just understand the theory; I know firsthand how these changes feel in training, recovery, and daily life.
- I bridge the gap between science and lived experience — combining detailed lab data with strategies that fit into your real world.
That’s what makes me uniquely positioned to guide you through this transition with clarity and confidence.
Key Features of the Wild Pursuits Method
The Wild Pursuits Method is a 6-month, one-on-one program that helps you uncover your body’s unique needs and build a blueprint for long-term health.
Here’s how:
- Comprehensive, Personalized Testing
We go far beyond the basics. You’ll get extensive functional labs that look at hormones, adrenals, gut health, nutrient levels, food sensitivities, blood chemistry, and epigenetics. Together, we’ll review the data so you understand it — and then we’ll use it to create a protocol that’s designed for your unique physiology. - Entirely Virtual
You can work with me from anywhere. Whether you’re training for your next race, managing a busy career, or balancing family life, your location won’t hold you back. - High-Touch, Individualized Support
This isn’t a group program where you get a cookie-cutter plan. You’ll have multiple visits each month, email access between sessions, and personalized strategies for lifestyle, training, and nutrition. You’ll feel supported every step of the way.
By the end of six months, you’ll walk away with more than just symptom relief. You’ll have a clear, customized blueprint to help you stay healthy, prevent disease, and perform at your best for decades to come.
What Clients Say

“Not only did Dr. Marsha help me overcome urgent health issues, but I feel like I’ve been set up for lifelong success. Her attitude kept me accountable and hopeful, even when I felt my issues were insurmountable.”
“Her approach was first ‘let’s get the data’ — which I loved. She makes very technical reports easy to follow, while clearly knowing what she’s talking about. I finally felt validated and understood.”
“After years of doctors telling me nothing was wrong, I finally have answers. Dr. Marsha uncovered issues other MDs missed. She was thorough, accessible, and helped me digest what I was learning at my own pace.”
“Her Wild Pursuits program dives deep to truly understand your whole health and create a plan to be your best you, healing at the source.”
“At the end of the program, not only did I feel great — I felt empowered to take charge of my health.”
My Vision for the Future
Menopause care is coming to the forefront — because women are no longer willing to be ignored or dismissed. The conventional medical system is beginning to realize this, but we still need more research, more education, and more compassionate, personalized care.
I am working to be part of that change. I want to continue the research, keep advancing my clinical work, and help more women understand their bodies in a way that makes them feel confident and powerful, not broken or confused.
At its core, my vision is simple: women should feel their best, feel heard, and feel free to pursue their passions. Age and hormones should never be barriers to living a vibrant, adventurous, healthy life.
